SoCal POP Rankings 2026: Top 10 at Every Position Through Week 11

Production over potential, not opinion. Eight boards, every number earned on the field, with games of Oct. 22 to 24 included.

These are not opinion rankings. Nobody at SPIN picks who is No. 1. POP, Production Over Potential, is calculated from what each player has actually done this season, game by game, from the box scores of his games, weighed for who he did it against and where. Stars, offers, highlight tapes and reputation are not in the math. Two things are: what he produced, and the competition he produced it against.

That is why big numbers against weak opponents do not rank high here, and why a big game against a great opponent is the most valuable thing on these boards. Consistency counts too: a full season of steady games is worth more than one monster night surrounded by quiet ones. The rules are set before the numbers come in, and they apply to every player in every region the same way.

Below: the Top 10 at every position across Southern California through Week 11, games of Oct. 22 to 24 included, plus the Two-Way board. The board covers the CIF Southern Section, San Diego Section and the southern Central Section. The full Top 25 at every position, a Top 10 for every section and every rated player in the region live on the Player Rankings tab, updated weekly.

What changed this week

  • Eight players stand at 99, all in SoCal. Tegan Ogas of Norco (TE) and Kingston Jimmerson of Santa Margarita (DL) are back at 99 after a week at 98. Dailon Clanton of Mater Dei (LB No. 2) is new at 99 after 11 tackles, two for loss, a sack and a pass defensed in the 52-38 win over Orange Lutheran, and Hudson Manning of Chaminade (DL No. 2) is new at 99 after seven tackles, three for loss, and two sacks in the 21-7 win over Serra of Gardena. Braylin Spencer of JSerra (LB), Aydan Steen of Santa Margarita (LB), Caleb Joy of Chaparral (DL) and Kaleb Herndon of Santa Margarita (DL) hold.
  • Ca'ron Williams of Santa Margarita is No. 1 at defensive back (97), passing King Rich Johnson of Orange Lutheran (96, down from 97). Isaiah Danns of Mater Dei enters the Top 10 at No. 10 (93, up from 91 and No. 32) after an interception return for a touchdown against Orange Lutheran. Jordan Hicks of Mission Viejo climbs from No. 17 to No. 9 (94) and Josiah Rand of Chaminade from No. 13 to No. 7 (94).
  • Ezekiel Su'a of Mater Dei moves to 98 at linebacker (No. 4, up from 96) after 13 tackles, two for loss, and an interception return for a touchdown against Orange Lutheran. Kane Casani of Loyola climbs from No. 10 to No. 5 (96) after 20 tackles in the loss to Bishop Amat, a night on which he also caught two passes for 58 yards; he enters the Two-Way board at No. 12.
  • Chris Flores Jr. of Orange Lutheran moves from No. 9 to No. 3 at receiver (96, up from 94). Kuika Moaalii of St. John Bosco holds No. 1 at 98 and Michael (Kiko) Farinas of Chaparral No. 2 at 97. Jack Junker of Mission Viejo (No. 8, 94) and Gavin Honore of Mater Dei (No. 10, 94) enter the Top 10.
  • Jaden Jefferson of Centennial of Corona holds No. 1 at quarterback (95) with Koa Malau'ulu of St. John Bosco at 95 behind him; Centennial posted its 41-27 win over Chaparral this week. Star Thomas III of Orange moves to No. 3 (93). Fletch Palmer of Santa Margarita (No. 8, 92) and Brett Burnor of Mission Viejo (No. 10, 91) enter the Top 10. Maliq Allen of St. John Bosco holds No. 1 at running back at 98; Asir Nembhard of Mater Dei moves to No. 2 (96).
  • Santa Margarita holds 11 of the 70 Top 10 spots across the seven position boards, Sierra Canyon seven, Mater Dei six, St. John Bosco and JSerra five each. The Southern Section holds 64 of the 70, the San Diego Section five (Darian Webb of Carlsbad RB No. 3 the highest) and the Central Section one (Owen Yurosek of Bakersfield Christian, TE No. 6). Jaxson Rex of San Clemente holds No. 1 on the Two-Way board at 93, with Colin Hooper of Capistrano Valley now at 93 behind him.

Coaches, post your box scores. POP can only count what gets recorded. About six in ten Southern California team-games from Oct. 22 to 24 had a complete box score in when this week's numbers were run. Chaparral, Yorba Linda, Mission Hills and Carlsbad posted offense only; Cathedral Catholic, Servite, Palos Verdes and Serra of Gardena posted defense only. When a program posts no box score, or logs only part of what its players did, those players lose credit for work they actually did. Post full box scores, offense and defense, every week. If a stat is wrong, tell us and show us; the corrected rating shows on the next board.

How to read the number

A POP rating runs 25 to 99 on one national scale, so a 95 in Southern California means the same thing as a 95 in Utah or Arizona. GP is games with a posted stat line. Two-Way players must be rated on an offensive board and a defensive board; the Two-Way number is built from both sides.

How every number on this board is built: the SPIN Production Rankings methodology. Why we built it: Stars Are a Bet. Yards Are a Receipt. Last week's board: SoCal through Week 10. This week's other boards: NorCal, Arizona and Nevada, all through Week 11, are on the Player Rankings tab. Utah had the week off and its Week 10 board stands.

Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Northern California and Southern California are live on the Player Rankings tab.
