Arizona POP Rankings 2026: Top 10 at Every Position Through Week 11
Production over potential, not opinion. Eight boards, every number earned on the field, with games of Oct. 22 to 24 included.
These are not opinion rankings. Nobody at SPIN picks who is No. 1. POP, Production Over Potential, is calculated from what each player has actually done this season, game by game, from the box scores of his games, weighed for who he did it against and where. Stars, offers, highlight tapes and reputation are not in the math. Two things are: what he produced, and the competition he produced it against.
That is why big numbers against weak opponents do not rank high here, and why a big game against a great opponent is the most valuable thing on these boards. Consistency counts too: a full season of steady games is worth more than one monster night surrounded by quiet ones. The rules are set before the numbers come in, and they apply to every player in every region the same way.
Below: the Top 10 at every position across Arizona through Week 11, games of Oct. 22 to 24 included, plus the Two-Way board. The board covers every AIA conference, 6A through 2A. The full Top 25 at every position, a Top 10 for every conference and every rated player in the state live on the Player Rankings tab, updated weekly.
What changed this week
- Jason Haines of Liberty of Peoria takes No. 1 at quarterback (90, from No. 3) after 208 yards and a touchdown on 28 attempts plus 43 rushing yards in the 38-7 win over Hamilton. Will Mencl of Chandler holds 90 at No. 2; Tee Smith of Casteel slips from No. 1 to No. 3 (89) after the 23-16 loss to Mountain View of Mesa. Jake Rogers of Basha moves from No. 7 to No. 4 (87) after 223 yards and two scores against Brophy College Prep.
- Aidan Torres of Centennial of Peoria is No. 1 at linebacker (93) after six tackles, two for loss, and two sacks in the 43-0 win over Mountain Ridge of Glendale; Jayden Arnold of Chandler, No. 1 a week ago, slips to No. 2 at 93 with Chandler posting offense only for its 79-0 win over Valley Vista. Preston Patterson of Mountain View of Mesa jumps from No. 12 to No. 3 (91) after an interception in the win over Casteel. Four more linebackers enter the Top 10: Brecken Garday and Lucien Tallman of Liberty, Asher Howard of Queen Creek and Carter Volrich of Casteel.
- Luke Franklin of Centennial of Peoria is No. 1 on the defensive line (98) after five tackles, two and a half sacks and an interception against Mountain Ridge. Ian Fullmer of Pinnacle (97) and Lachlan Geier of Queen Creek (97) are a point behind. Teammate Javier Chacon enters the Top 10 at No. 7 (92).
- Kaden Miller of Liberty of Peoria holds No. 1 at defensive back (97). Austin Reese of Chandler holds No. 2 but falls from 96 to 92: Chandler's 79-0 win over Valley Vista added a sixth game and no defensive production to his file, and POP is built per game against the competition faced. Billy Lewis of St. Mary's enters at No. 6 (90, from No. 17) after 12 tackles and two interceptions against Paradise Honors. Legarrette Blount Jr. of Mountain Pointe moves to No. 3 (92).
- Romeo Jones of Williams Field jumps from No. 20 to No. 7 at running back (86, up from 81) after 118 yards on five carries in the 63-17 win over Shadow Ridge. Noah Roberts of Basha holds No. 1 at 91. John Booker of Williams Field enters the receiver Top 10 at No. 7 (87). Braxton Huynh of Liberty holds No. 1 at receiver (92) and Torrin Hill of Centennial holds No. 1 at tight end (97).
- Jai Jones of Chandler is off the Two-Way board this week: Chandler has not posted defensive stats for its last two games, so his defensive side no longer clears the minimum. Ryder Noche of Brophy College Prep holds No. 1 on the Two-Way board at 87; Ace Rizzo of Mountain Ridge of Glendale is new at No. 7 (81).
- Liberty of Peoria holds nine of the 70 Top 10 spots across the seven position boards, Hamilton seven, Chandler, Mountain View of Mesa and Centennial of Peoria six each. Sixty-one of the 70 belong to 6A programs; the Two-Way board again carries the smaller conferences, with Corbin Wood of Show Low and Jaxon Crick of Round Valley (3A) inside its Top 10.
Coaches, post your box scores. POP can only count what gets recorded. About two in three Arizona team-games from Oct. 22 to 24 had a complete box score in when this week's numbers were run. Chandler, Williams Field, Highland of Gilbert and Westwood posted offense only. When a program posts no box score, or logs only part of what its players did, those players lose credit for work they actually did. Post full box scores, offense and defense, every week. If a stat is wrong, tell us and show us; the corrected rating shows on the next board.

How to read the number
A POP rating runs 25 to 99 on one national scale, so a 95 in Arizona means the same thing as a 95 in Utah or Southern California. GP is games with a posted stat line. Two-Way players must be rated on an offensive board and a defensive board; the Two-Way number is built from both sides.
How every number on this board is built: the SPIN Production Rankings methodology. Why we built it: Stars Are a Bet. Yards Are a Receipt. Last week's board: Arizona through Week 10. This week's other boards: NorCal, SoCal and Nevada, all through Week 11, are on the Player Rankings tab. Utah had the week off and its Week 10 board stands.
Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Northern California and Southern California are live on the Player Rankings tab.
