What the board says
The only loss was to another team on this board, by one point. Mater Dei trailed 9-0, did not reach the end zone until the fourth quarter, and won when Centennial missed a 27-yard field goal with 2:30 left.
Centennial is 1-2 and both defeats are by a single point, the other to Santa Margarita. We held it third a week ago and said the record was the only argument against it.
Santa Margarita closed the week without being troubled. It beat Inderkum of Sacramento 41-0 on Saturday night and did not concede a point. It is 4-0 and second in the country, and the top of this board is where it was.
Two Hawaii programs came to Southern California this week and both left by five touchdowns or more. Sierra Canyon beat Saint Louis 52-0 on Thursday and Bosco beat Kahuku by 36 on Friday.
Six of the ten have not lost to anybody. Santa Margarita, Sierra Canyon, Mater Dei, San Clemente, Carlsbad and Bishop Amat are all unbeaten, and Centennial is the only team on this board that lost this week.
