STRANOVA is SPIN's computer rating system. On this page it calls high school football games: playoff slates first, from the states SPIN covers week to week. For each game it gives a pick, a win chance for each side and a projected score, and SPIN publishes all three before kickoff and freezes them. When the final verifies on our scoreboard, it lands next to the call, and the scoreboard tab grades it: right or wrong on the winner, and how far the margin missed. A 90 percent win chance means the other side wins about one time in ten. Over a slate that adds up, and we say so before the games are played.
