Rocklin
Rocklin won 46-7 at Turlock to open the season, then posted back to back shutouts of Bishop Manogue of Reno and Pleasant Valley of Chico. It outscored its three nonleague opponents 124-7.
Then it went to Folsom, which was 4-0, and took it to a second overtime.
The series
Oak Ridge won last year's meeting 34-14 on October 31 in El Dorado Hills. Oak Ridge went on to reach the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I final, where it lost 21-14 to Folsom.
What Friday does
The Sierra Foothill League runs through Folsom, and both of these teams still have to play it. Oak Ridge hosts Folsom on October 16. A win for Oak Ridge keeps it unbeaten in the league going into that game. A win for Rocklin puts it back at .500 in the league and gives it a result over a ranked team.
Kickoff is 7:30 PM Pacific, 8:30 PM Mountain, at Rocklin High School.
