Eight of the ten teams on the NorCal board played in Week 6 and seven won. The one that did not is the interesting part, because the team that beat Pittsburg is on a different board of ours.
The only loss crossed a regional line
Mission Viejo beat Pittsburg 42-35. Pittsburg is 2-2 and fifth here. Mission Viejo is 4-1 and seventh on our SoCal board. Seven points, and the only NorCal board team to lose in Week 6.
Four teams are still unbeaten
De La Salle is 4-0 and first after beating St. Mary's of Stockton 44-7. Folsom is 4-0 and second after a 56-0 win over Inderkum, the only shutout on this board. Central East of Fresno is 4-0 and fourth after a 54-6 win over Liberty of Bakersfield. Del Oro of Loomis is 4-0 and tenth after beating Vanden 41-20.
Folsom and Central East allowed six points between them.
The valley and the north bay held serve
Clovis is 4-1 and ninth after a 41-14 win over Bullard. Central Catholic of Modesto is 3-1 and seventh after beating Pleasant Valley 28-14, the closest win any NorCal board team had this week. Cardinal Newman of Santa Rosa is 2-2 and eighth after a 45-7 win over Clayton Valley Charter.
Two teams were idle
Serra of San Mateo is 2-1 and third. Oak Ridge is 2-1 and sixth. Neither played in Week 6, and both carry the same record into Week 7.
