Hamilton did not play and holds first. Liberty of Peoria beat Mountain Ridge of Glendale 64-0 and holds second. Chandler holds third after Cactus Canyon canceled their varsity game and forfeited; its coach told the Arizona Republic it was not safe for his players after the program lost 29 players to transfers before the season.
Pinnacle beat Valley Vista 58-0 and moves up to fourth. It beat Basha 40-7 on September 11, and Basha did not play this week. Basha drops one to fifth.
Centennial of Peoria beat O'Connor 36-12, Brophy College Prep won 45-6 at Shadow Ridge, ALA Gilbert North beat Skyline 57-0 and Desert Mountain won 42-16 at Cactus Shadows. All four hold.
Mountain View in, Desert Edge out
Mountain View of Mesa beat Queen Creek 36-15 and comes on at 10th. It is 4-2, it won 26-15 at Pinnacle in September, and its two losses are to Centennial and to Brophy by three. Desert Edge beat Canyon View 21-17 and comes off. It is 4-2 without a win over a team on this board, and Mountain View has one.
A correction. Last week's board listed Desert Mountain at 5-0. A September 4 win was ruled a forfeit after the school self-reported an eligibility violation, so it was 4-1 at the time. It is 5-1 now.
