Nevada is Gorman and then a long argument, and Week 4 did not change the shape of that.
Bishop Gorman won at Lone Peak 38-14. That is the tenth-ranked team on our national board doing what the tenth-ranked team should do to the eighth-ranked team in Utah on the road, and it moves Gorman to 3-1. The one loss is still Columbus of Miami, and it is still the only thing anybody can hold against them.

Churchill County is 4-0 and nobody outside Fallon is talking about it
Churchill County beat Truckee 27-7 and is the only team on this board with four wins.
Second place on a Nevada board is usually a formality behind Gorman. This is not that. Four wins, no losses, and the board had them second before this week on the strength of the record alone. They now have the record and the week. Palo Verde, Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon and Mater Academy East Las Vegas are unbeaten too, and all three are 3-0 rather than 4-0.
Four losses, four teams from out of state
Arbor View lost 44-0 at Hamilton. Foothill of Henderson lost 34-3 to Mililani. Liberty of Henderson lost 24-20 to Skyridge at home. Spanish Springs lost 56-7 at Mountain View of Meridian.
That is Arizona, Hawaii, Utah and Idaho. Not one Nevada team lost to a Nevada team this week.
Arbor View is now 0-3 and still fifth, which is the same argument we made when we moved them up four spots at 0-2. They have played the best schedule anybody on this board has played and they have lost all of it. We think they beat most of the teams ranked below them on a neutral field. The record will catch up or it will not.
Foothill is 2-1 and sixth. Mililani has now beaten two teams from this board, having won at Liberty 31-24 in its opener on August 14, and the Trojans are 4-0.
The middle held
Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon beat Somerset Academy Losee 49-7 and is 3-0. Mater Academy East Las Vegas beat University City 51-20 and is 3-0. Faith Lutheran rallied past Damien 35-31 for its second win.
Palo Verde, third, was idle. It plays Durango on September 10.
