Basha lost 23-17 to Orange Lutheran at Orange Coast College and we have written that piece already. Here is the part that piece could not see yet.
Everybody else in Arizona's top five went out on the same night and beat a ranked team.

Four statements in one night
Hamilton shut out Arbor View 44-0. Arbor View is fifth in Nevada.
Liberty of Peoria beat Corner Canyon 38-24, scoring the last 24 points against the No. 1 team in Utah and the 14th in the country.
Chandler beat Cathedral Catholic 42-13. Cathedral Catholic is our SoCal No. 10 and is now 0-2.
Centennial of Peoria went to Anaheim and beat Servite 22-14. Servite is our SoCal No. 9.
Four of the five teams at the top of this board played somebody ranked and beat them. Read the Basha result against that rather than on its own and the weekend looks different. The loss hurts. It does not hurt as much as it looked like it did at eleven o'clock on Friday night, because the state spent the same three hours proving it has more than one team worth ranking.
The only Arizona derby went to the road team
Mountain View of Mesa is seventh here and Pinnacle of Phoenix is ninth. They played in Phoenix and Mountain View won 26-15.
It is the only game this week between two teams on this board. Two of the three schools that came onto it last week, Pinnacle and Highland of Gilbert, lost. The third, Desert Mountain, won by 28.
What is still unresolved
Highland of Gilbert losing 28-16 at home to an unranked Inglewood is the result on this board with no comfortable explanation attached to it. Highland entered the top ten a week ago on last season's argument. It has now been beaten at home by a team nobody ranks.
Boards are Monday.
