LEESBURG, Ga. — Nick Lennear caught a 20-yarder from Malik Leonard to put Miami Carol City up 7-0, and by halftime it was 20-8 after Lennear scored again.

Lee County had stayed close on a Kevin Streeter interception return and a seven-yard Zakari Johnson run. Then it took the second half entirely.

Cohen Lawson threw 29 yards to Destin Bell to make it 20-15, and Dominique Ball's fourth-quarter run put Lee County ahead 23-20. Carol City did not score after halftime.

Carol City was already the widest gap between SPIN's national board and Florida's own rankings. Losing at an unranked Georgia program does not help that argument.

Sequence per On3. Played at Trojan Field.
